Arizona Elk Society Celebrating its 10th Anniversary March 19, 2011

Published on January 19, 2011 under Events

The Arizona Elk Society, Phoenix, Arizona is hard at work gearing up for the 10th Annual Banquet March 19, 2011.

The money raised at the Banquet funds wildlife habitat  restoration and improvements across the State of Arizona for the benefit of Elk and other wildlife.

This year the Arizona Elk Society is proud to be auctioning two (2) of the Special Commissioners Big Game Tags.  These include the Commissioners Elk Tag and Commissioners Buffalo Tag.  The season for these tags runs from Aug 15th, 2010 to Aug. 14th, 2011.  For information on open hunting areas please see the AZGFD website.  Buying one of these tags is a great opportunity to help out Arizona’s Wildlife Management and possibly harvest a great animal.  All the money form the sale of the Commissioners Big Game tags goes to projects on the ground to benefit the species the tag is for.

Along with the Commissioner Tags there are some great Big Game Hunts, Loads of Firearms, Trips and auction items rolling in.

If you are interested in purchasing tickets for the Banquet, donating to the AES, looking for information on the Commissioner Tags or needing info about the Banquet and other events please visit our website at www.arizonaelksociety.org.  If you are interested in a Corporate Table at the Banquet please contact Cookie Nicoson at 928-699-9036.

Since forming in 2001 the Arizona Elk Society has grown into one of the state’s largest 501c3 wildlife organizations.  The mission of the Arizona Elk Society is to raise funds to benefit elk and other wildlife through habitat conservation and restoration and to preserve our hunting heritage for present and future generations.  The AES is proud to say that all the money raised from our fundraising events is used for on-the-ground programs and stays in Arizona.  In nine years the organization has raised over $3.5 million dollars and protected or enhanced over 250,000 acres of Elk habitat in Arizona.
